One, Two Look at My Shoe

Today we put shoes on Jackson. Although it was not the first time, we assume that he does not remember the first time, as he was about a month and a half old (and oh so cute with those little white high tops on for church!!)! Well, the minute I put the one shoe on, he lifted his foot, reached for it, kicked his leg and laughed. We took that as an expression of strong like for shoes, so we put the other one on! In the pictures above, he has had the shoes on for about 5 minutes, so the newness was wearing off, but he was still wanting to explore and show them off. They did stay on through lunch at a restaurant, until we lifted him out of his chair and we noticed one had fallen off and the other fell off in the lifting process. So, maybe his feet aren't quite big enough for shoes yet (and walking...well, it may be a bit in the distant future...so no big need for shoes...but they are oh so cute on little kids!!)!
Needless to say, he was still fascinated with shoes when we got home...only this time it was mine!! Here is a series of shots of him deciding that he would like Mommy to have her shoes off!! Nevermind that it takes me forever to get these shoes tied onto my feet...it took just a few seconds for Jackson to figure out how to get them off! I believe he enjoyed the strings on them! Puppy was in on the fun!

I can almost hear him giggling while he is taking your shoes. Have a great week!
