Then, on Saturday, we took a trip back down to Edinburgh to see the Palace of Holyroodhouse...better known as "Her Majesty The Queen's Scotland Residence." It was neat to see it. Once again, we couldn't believe that we could just hop in the car at 10am, drive to see this, and return home by the afternoon! WE LIVE HERE!! It also occurred to us that if we went to some palace or castle or museum every Saturday that we lived here, we probably would still never see all of them in Scotland over the span of three years! This place is packed with historical markers, if you will! It has also occurred to me that I am so blessed to be married to a history buff who can share all the little things that aren't on the plaques!!
"Show me your ways, Oh Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5

God Save the Queen!
The Title was Cody's idea...and a good one at that!! So, I used it! Here are some slideshows of last week/weekend. Jackson and I went with a friend and her son (the other American wife here and their 2 month old) to the RAF Parade in St. Andrews. Apparently, it is one of those parades that the RAF does every year to thank the community for their support. It was really kinda neat for us! It consisted of the RAF band and the guys dressed in their dress blues...that was the parade, but neat none the less. The "fly past," as they call their flybys here, was a 4 ship of F3s...this is the jet that Cody is flying here. It's always hit or miss when I aim to shoot these flybys...I got this one straight on!! I think it is a good picture of the jets, if I may say so myself!!
